Supporting New Initiatives

We’re passionate about passing the mic. As a registered extraprovincial society that has journeyed from scrappy startup to a current space of stability, hua foundation is passionate about supporting the emerging work and new initiatives of community members who are putting forward new community projects.

Hua foundation provides support to emerging, not-yet-registered organizations through sharing strategic guidance, providing programmatic, administrative, and mentorship support when called for, and connecting people with likeminded communities of practice. 

Hua foundation supports projects with the aim to collectively realize the vision of supporting youth by empowering them with the resources, tools, and connections to work meaningfully towards advancing social change.

As active, interested, and supportive allies keen to advance racial equity on all fronts, we remain open to supporting engagement work with folks beyond and across the hua-identified community, including folks across the broadly-defined Asian diaspora and other racialized groups.

A forthcoming registered charity, independent of hua foundation, is growing out of the work that hua has seeded in its support of emerging initiatives. We’re excited to share more about this when we can.
